Instant oat flakes are derived from the oat grains, which undergone the special hydro-thermic processing with stringing and pressing. Thanks to it, they have a short cooking time.
They are rich in the absorbed carbohydrates (starch), which give us energy and the feeling of being full for a long period of time. Furtermore, they contain easy to digest proteins and quite a large amount of fiber, which regulate our digestion. It is worth to know, that in the fiber that comes from oat there is its well-absorbed fraction – beta glucan, which strengthen our immune system and they maintain the proper level of cholesterol in our blood. Oat flakes contain Vitamins from group B (B1, B2), which are responsible for the proper condition of our skin, hair and nails. They include Vitamins PP and E and a lot of micro and macro elements, for instance magnesium or selenium.
Oat flakes are a wonderful proposal of delicious and nutritious breakfast with milk, jogurt and fruit. It is also possible to use them for porridges, muesli and cookies.
